Me and wife just had our first child. We decided to Breastfeeding, it seem like the best and healthiest way. Day 3 into it, my wife is killing it ! But I just can’t help feeling like I’m not helping enough. Any tips for a new father on helping your wife while she breastfeeding ? Please any answer are acceptable just want to help ...

I ended up doing a lot of cleaning - the dishes, putting in a load of laundry, etc. - when my spouse was breastfeeding in the early days.

Great question and I normally help by getting my wife a glass of water, remote control (if by the TV), burp cloth, and her cell phone to keep track of the feed. Good luck!

Do other stuff around the house. Breastfeeding takes a lot of time and energy so you can help by pulling up the slack with other chores. Wash dishes, do washing, make sure your wife has snacks and water.

Hey, my wife just gave birth as well and I felt like you did at first, but I handled things around the house to help. The one thing that did help alot and also gives us dad's time to bond, was that after she breastfed, I would burp her, walk around with her, and change her diaper. These little things go a long ways in bonding time and also gives your lady a break, because it can become overwhelming to deal with a fussing baby by yourself, so give that a try and see if that works for the both of you.
