When to tell him

So I’ve been talking to this guy for a few weeks and he’s great such a sweet person. we’ve decided to only talk with each other and see were this progress to but I’m scared because i dont know how to tell him that I have type 1 herpes from my ex that cheated on me and who also raped me. I don’t plan on sleeping with this new guy anytime soon I wanna take it slow but I just don’t know when I should bring up my past and everything. Any ideas?
