My little ones are going to be 2 years apart, I'm registered for diapers and a few clothing items we didn't have, also different genders, and a few little things we didn't save from when my first born was a small baby

I had a registry but no shower for my second. I had a lot of people ask me what I wanted, so I made one. It made things so easy plus people wanted to get me something I needed so it was a win/win!

We did, but we also never had a shower for our first. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with registering for a second baby even if you did. There’s stuff that you can’t always reuse for a second baby, and if you’re having a different gender, then there might be some different stuff that you want.
