After TTC for a year with a miscarriage my SO and I are looking into what's next? How do we go about getting fertility tested? How much will it cost? I have insurance, he doesn't. And what should we expect?

Answer

Just schedule and appointment for yourself with a doctor. Look into your insurance policy mine didn't cover infertility it was all out of pocket. For me my doctor ordered an hsg if your doctor orders one check with local radiology places for their self pay price they usually are cheaper than hospitals if your insurance does not cover it. My doctor also ordered clomid and two sets of labs the clomid was about 40 and the labs were 150 for the first set and 280 for the second to make sure the clomid worked. For my hubby my doctor ordered his sperm analysis he never had to see a doctor or pay for any visits his insurance covered it and he didn't have to pay anything but you can check with your local labs on the cost for that also. Different places charge different amounts this was  just my experience.
