Exclusive pumping?

Hey ladies.  My daughter is almost 2 weeks and I pumped yesterday and gave her a bottle before bed and she slept almost double what she had been. Thinkn about exclusive pumping but there's some much conflicting info out there. Anybody who exclusively pumps what made u choose that? 🤔👶

Breastfeeding makes me uncomfortable 🤷🏻‍♀️ it wasn’t for me and my daughter. Never once thought about putting her on the boob tbh. I needed numbers too I wanted to know exactly how much my girl is getting, she was also a NICU baby so the only way I could bond with her before I could touch her was through pumping for her. She’s been bottle fed every since coming off her feeding tubes. When you first start an have to pump a lot and then take care of the baby on top of it it really sucks but as your supply increase and you can stash milk you don’t have to pump as often. 
I also love how daddy and grandparents can bond with her while feeding. She knows I’m her mama though cause I always smell like her food. Personally don’t believe you need to put the tit in the mouth to bond with your baby 🤷🏻‍♀️ no offense to anyone who breastfeeds. Baby is getting the same nutrients either way. 
Exclusively pumping is hard work in the beginning but I’m 5w pp and my freezer stash is huge and my baby is always full!

I'm pumping because my nipples are too flat for baby to latch. I like it cuz I know exactly how much milk hes eating.

I chose to because my son wouldn't latch right. He had a tongue tie at birth and by the time they corrected it my nipples were super tender.

If baby is almost two weeks old, you are about to enter the two most intense clusterfeeding periods/growth spurts. The 2-3week one and 4-6week one. So unless baby always sleeps way better and longer after a bottle, I would wait to make the decision to exclusively pump, as it’s a lot more work and more stressful to pump when baby goes through the cluster feeding periods. 
Doing both could perhaps be an possible, give a bottle before bed, and nurse the other times.

I switched to exclusive pumping once I went back to work because I was only breastfeeding him at most 2 times a day. Then we starting having latching issues on top of weight gain issues. This way I know exactly the amount he is getting and since I started pumping his weight has finally started to go up. I’m not going to lie though, exclusive pumping sucks. You need to stick to a schedule and can’t miss sessions. And be prepared to pump in your car if you go out to run errands lol
I definitely recommend looking for exclusive pump groups on Facebook because the one on here isn’t extremely active and the breastfeeding group has some exclusive pumpers but for the most part if you ask a question about exclusive pumping in that group people try to fix your latching problem. I like the Exclusively Pumping Moms group on fb.
