how does one make friends?

no matter what, i do my best to be kind and caring towards someone and as soon as i think they're starting to be my friend, they leave me in one way or another, girls especially don't seem to like me for some reason and i haven't had a close friend or just friends for that matter, for a couple of years now....i don't understand why

I know that girls are really REALLY hard to make friends with. I was lucky enough to have a best friend from birth basically and we do everything together and have our own little group. It also does get harder as you get older and friends obviously change. Do you have any good guy friends you can talk to sometimes? I’d say advice for girls.. look for the ones who seem like you could relate to and try to open up and talk about things you have in common or just like school stuff. I’m not sure. I’m kind of an awkward person when it comes to new people but you gotta start somewhere. You’ll find people eventually !
