what’s happening?

So I missed a pill earlier in my pill pack at the beginning of my third week and I had spotting a few days after, then my placebos come and on my second day I had red and brown spotting but nothing enough to use a pad over. I thought my period was coming but I woke up and nothing is there any more....I’m also on a new brand this month. What’s happening, has this happened to you??
