Period/yeast infection

A couple days ago I was asked if I wanted to go to the pool. I was on my period at the time & had a tampon in. There was a hot tub and I wanted to go in sooo bad! I love hot tubs, but I was scared of getting a yeast infection. I risked it anyway... I shouldn’t have risked it. I think I have a yeast infection now. Discharge & a little itchy.

Anyone else get yeast infections after getting in a hot tub?

I hate it.

Now I’m gonna have to contact my gyno and for some reason I feel dirty when I call and tell them I think I’m having yeast infection symptoms. I know it happens and I shouldn’t think too much into it.
