If a first response pregnancy test is positive, does the second line disappear?

Probably a weird question but I took one of the first response tests this morning. There was a second line but just at the top and the bottom, not really the middle. Everyone I asked said it was positive. I don’t really believe it was, but it could just be denial because pregnancy isn’t something I want at the moment. I thought it could be an evap line. The test now doesn’t have a second line, so could that mean I was right in that it was an evap line? Or is it normal for the test line to fade/disappear
