How would you log CM?

The day after ovulation i noticed that my CM changed from earlier in the day. That morning i gotten the EWCM i logged it as eggwhite cm. That afternoon i wiped and my cm was creamy but it was a light amount. So was wondering, do i go by what my cm was earlier that day??
