Progress!!!

I have a 4 year old feral rescue. She has been my sweet cuddle baby since I got her at a year old. She also owns this house 😂 She has lacked a playmate because my elderly cat (that she loves and “takes care of” - he’s blind so if he’s confused calling out for someone she always runs to him and calms him down) has mostly stopped playing at his age.

So when my daughter begged me for a 10 week old kitten, I let her get him.

Here enters disaster.

From the moment we walked that kitten through the door, she’d sit outside his quarantine room (he was a feral shelter kitten and had a uri when we got him) and hiss and spit. It took THREE MONTHS of slow introduction before we could let him out with her supervised, and another month before unsupervised.

We’ve had him since December, and today kitten was laying on my bed cuddling me, and she came waltzing in. Typically my bed is off limits to him. She jumped on the bed, laid down facing him...and then ....

Kitten is the grey kitty, my baby girl is the one reaching out to hold his paw. They laid like this for about 5 minutes and then he decided to push his luck and rolled upside and tried to rub on her 😂 then she hissed at him and wacked him and ran😂

Still progress!
