Baby grunting?

Why is my baby grunting and need constant soothing after 3 or 4am? He's still sleeping when I check him but if I leave him to grunt he will eventually cry 🙄

Yes! My lo does this too, he sleeps super soundly all night and then after his 4am feeding he is moving around constantly and grunting like crazy!

I’ve got a grunter too! She sounds like a tractor lol, I don’t think she is uncomfortable- apparently it’s common for newborns to make lots of noise when they sleep. My pediatrician said it’s normal- and that she is just getting used to using her poo muscles.

Mines a grunter too. She is also such better pooper than My first who wasnt a grunter. Ill take the grunts over screaming cause of not being able to push poops out, any day!

Mine grunts when she’s hungry, has to burp, or is pooping ... so who knows!!

Mine does the same. I pick her up and have her lay in my chest, full belly down and she falls back asleep and it helps the grunting. I agree with the other comments it’s just baby getting used to their digestion and pooping.

Mines a huge grunter. My mom thought it wasn’t normal because none of her 8 kids were like that.😂

She grunts when she has gas In her sleep.

My baby decides its poop time from 4-7 am. He grunts and cannot be helped until he loads up a diaper or two. Perhaps your baby is pooping?
