Moms / Soon to be! I need your help!

Hi! Just a little background information before I delve into this. I'm a 17 year old girl, turning 18 on the 19th of this month.

Recently I've gotten into a relationship with a boy who I'll be dating for 3 months soon...my mother adores him and his mom likes me. Me and him have gotten frisky but not to the point where we've had sex. Just bare, naked grinding is as far as we'll go.

Problem:

How in the FUCK do I approach my mom on being on birth control. I wanna be as RESPONSIBLE as possible when I become fully sexually active but I don't know how to approach her on this. How would you handle your daughter asking for such after just meeting her boyfriend 3 months ago? Should I even ask? I know mothers think alike so I don't know..

I know I cod technically do it myself when I turn 18 but I'm not even sure how to do that, or what I'd need (insurance info, insurance card, etc.)
