Owlet
I’m a nervous mom about baby sleep. I follow safe sleep guidelines to the T, and yet I still worry more than seems average. I’ve learned to embrace it, and after my baby turned 1 I relaxed quite a bit.
However, in the first few months I frequently found myself lying awake and getting out of bed to feel baby’s chest move up and down - checking that she was breathing. As she got older I used a baby monitor, and that satisfied me, but in those first few months I lost a LOT of sleep physically going over to her in the middle of the night. And we all know that’s a crucial time to get all the sleep you can.
I know myself - I’m a “checker” by nature, and will do the same with another baby. With my 2nd due later this year I’m considering the owlet (I would gladly pay a few hundred dollars to get more sleep in those first few months). My thought is I’d know baby’s breathing without getting out of bed.
Thoughts? Any moms in a similar boat? Anyone love (or hate) their owlet?
