Me and my husband both work Monday through Friday, and I plan on using most of my vacation days during the summer. I reallly just planned on taking off a few Fridays and mondays and doing long weekends nothing crazy- and I don’t get much time off and I do have to set time aside Incase my son is sick, and for his doctor apts.

I told my dh I planned on taking a few long weekends in the summer and he wants to know which ones so we he can take off too! I know it sounds really nice, but me and my husband have a great marriage but we are totally different people- I want to spend my vacation time relaxing and he wants to spend his vacation time doing projects around the house and cleaning. We spend every single weekend together and we usually are very busy- cleaning, organizing things, projects things like that. My husband isn’t really the “relaxing” type and can always find a million things to do. I really want to just chill, go to the beach with my son and just hangout. It’s not that I don’t want to spend time with my dh it’s just we both work hard and have pretty stressful jobs and I just don’t think power washing our house is how I want to spend my time off. Should I feel bad about this or can anyone relate????
