Pre-IVF genetic screening with 0 risk (free but slows down IVF process)?

Mi

We are being pushed to do pre-IVF genetic screening because it’s free and “everyone does it” (true where we live). We have very different family backgrounds with no overlap. I’m not even 30 yet and have perfect fertility. IVF is due to make factor.

If we do it then best case it pushes off IVF for a month or two. If anything comes back as high risk it could take as long as a year to be ready to screen embryos, and then they only look for the specific disease they found. I’m already sick of waiting.

PGS is illegal here unless there is a known risk of a specific disease so we have to make a call beforehand.

Would you do it?
