De Quervain's tenosynovitis - mommy’s thumb - tendinitis
To anyone that suffers from this, it is the worst and i sympathize with you! Mom’s shouldn’t have to deal with painful hands and a newborn.
My tendinitis started at about 35 weeks pregnant & I had carpal tunnel for weeks before that. My hands hurt so bad that I would have to ice them during the night. Everyone told me it would probably go away after I deliver. The carpal tunnel went away immediately. Must have been from all that swelling and extra fluid. My baby is 6.5 months now and I just got cortisone shots in my wrists and finally I have relief! I got the shots while breastfeeding and have not noticed any reactions with my baby. I wish I got the shots sooner. I hope this helps anyone who is reading.
Things I tried before the cortisone shots: compression gloves, lots of water, wrist splints, ice. No success
