Did Prozac help you with depression?

I recently was prescribed Prozac. Has it helped anyone with depression? Especially after a breakup.

Hi! No breakup here, but I had issues with depression as well as ocd and took prozac, it’s working really well for me!  I also participated in DBT and I find that a combination of therapy counselling and medication works really well. Make sure to be patient with the medication and ease into it slowly. I was prescribed Prozac as a antidepressant but for me it made it worse and increased my depression. I tried to hurt myself on it and didn't know why so when I went off it was the best thing for me

It helped me so much! It’s the only antidepressant for me that I’ve tried that doesn’t cause nasty side effects !  And I’ve been on 4-5 different kinds ! Works great for me :)

My doctor prescribed it for me for my anxiety, maybe he thought I was depressed too. Not sure. Either way. It made me suicidal so I had to stop taking it, per doctors orders.
