Bloody show at 33 weeks?

Question

No picture but I am 33 weeks. Yesterday went to my doctors appointment and I was 3cm dilated with a few cramps. Today a few moments ago I had a chunk of mucus plug mixed with blood. Could this be a result of her checking my cervix? Second pregnancy never happened with my first after being checked so not really sure

You can lose pieces of your mucus plug earlier on and if you don’t go into labor, it will fill back up 😊

Most likely from the cervical check so as long as you aren’t having  contractions I wouldn’t worry about it. I had the same thing at 32 weeks 3 cm dilated and 80 percent effaced. Finally at 36+6 my doctor broke my water bc if high blood pressure and I was dilated to 7 cm and not in active labor. I’m sure I would’ve made it to 37-38 weeks had she not broken my water. I’ve never had my water break even at 10 cm with all 3 of my babies and when my dr broke it with number four my labor was 53 mins. Good luck mama

Could be or you could deliver soon if your already dilated.

Could be from getting checked. I bled after every cervix check for couple days with my first. Bloody show when I lost my mucus plug was enough over several hours to fill a couple pads.
If you're concerned, call your doctor or Labor & Delivery.
