Hey yallll could use your opinions!

BF and I live with his mom(dad passed away and brother lives 5 hours away). We’ve lived there for 2+ years now and have been saving to move out obviously lol

His mom brought up the idea of getting a dog from a breeder (not my thing but that something else). She said she would only do it if we were ALL on board.....

Now I want all three of us to sit down and chat about this and the future year coming. I understand my bf feeling nervous to leave her considering the situation, but this needs to happen. He is very adamant about talking to her alone. Probably because I am hard headed and take control of situations.

His mom doesn’t like to talk about this. Their family is very dysfunctional when it comes to proper communication. I understand confrontation isn’t everyone’s forte but it is inevitable.

Any moms out there who think this sort of suggestion is ok, for a young couple trying to start their life together?

Anyone’s mom a widow and how did you talk about the future?
