Anyone ever get told the wrong sex at an ultrasound?

We were told definitely boy at 14 weeks. Went for another scan today at 15+6 and there is definitely no dangly bits between those legs. I’m so mad that the first tech was wrong and so devastated that my little boy isn’t happening.
Please no “at least she’s healthy” comments. Of course I’m happy that she so far seems to be perfectly healthy. I can be happy about that and sad about the sex at the same time.

14 weeks was early. They should’ve waited until 16+ to be for sure.

14 is too early they look very similar at the point. 16+ weeks is a bit more accurate

Happened to me, the tech swore it was a boy at 14 weeks even said how she is never wrong. Went back at 18 weeks and was a little girl. Lol 😆 their stuff looks the same for a while because girls are swollen. After that experience I don’t want them taking guesses I’ll just wait it out.

Totally normal. They very often mistake the cord for a penis.

I can understand getting exited thinking it a boy and than be disappointed when finding out they where wrong. It will go away though after a little time you'll get just as exited for your little girl. From what I understand ultrasounds that early can be wrong.

Ugh I feel like I would get another one to be sure before buying anything unless you keep receipts. So sorry!!! We have three boys and we were so excited to finally get a girl but it took us awhile to really believe it.

It was too early. They shouldn’t have said anything. I was told at 18 weeks with my first that it was a girl but not to buy anything until my next scan. She was a girl, but even at 18 weeks they were cautious.

The farther you are from 20w the more room for error which is why they say to wait.

This was my ultrasound @ 13 Weeks 4 Days. My Ob schedueled & Ultrasound to make sure baby was growing & i got told i was having a boy. & yup, it stayed a boy lol. There was no confusion what so ever.
