So much quicker than the first!

Jennifer

Had our beautiful baby boy!

When I was in labor with my first it was 17 hours of hard contractions on top of each other with no dilation progression. They gave me epi and I dilated to a 10 in an hour.

This time around was so different!

They had me on cervidil for 24 hours, 2 doses, 12 hours each, so that sucked. It took me from a 1 to 2.5. They started pitocin around 9:30 and dr came in and broke my water around 11:30. Hard contractions started immediately every 2-3 minutes apart. They continued to do this over the next couple hours. I was dilated to about an 8 when they gave me the epidural. The epidural was complete at 3:11, I laid down. They checked me after a few minutes and I was completely dilated. They called the dr and she said we would start pushing. While waiting for the doctor I started feeling pressure. They put the legs up in the stirrups and I was already crowning!

Guys, the dr literally walked in, they threw her stuff on as quick as they could. They just finished putting her shoe covers on when I told them I was feeling pressure like my body might be pushing, and then he was out. I literally didn’t even push, my body pushed him out.

My husband wasn’t able to be there for our first and was like well, that’s not how it is in movies 😂 he literally glanced away and turned his head back and the baby was on the table. IT WAS CRAZY!
