Genetic Screening Question: For those whose insurance does NOT cover NIPT, are you getting it anyway?

Question

If you are getting it done anyway, which one and how much you are expecting to pay?
If you are not getting it, comment below to tell how you made that decision (and are you getting NT/sequential scan instead?).

**By non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), I mean cell-free blood tests used as a genetic screening around 11 weeks (usually also tells gender) like Harmony, Panorama, QNatal, etc.

Oh geeze I can’t remember the name of the one I did before (green box and lab information) - but my husband and I called beforehand to see what the price would be since the doctor warned us we might get a bill for it. $$750!! And I’m not high-risk or over age 35... but we took a chance. And insurance covered it randomly!! 😬
This time around, I want the same peace of mind of got with my son. So we’re prepared to cough up the money if we get a bill.

Our insurance partially covers panorama which makes it $600. If you don’t have insurance I’m pretty sure they negotiate it to $150-$200 (ask your doctor, they probably know). It’s actually really annoying but it’s worth it for us.

We lost our daughter at 20 weeks last time around.  After delivery we sent samples from her to the Mayo for genetic testing so we could get some answers as to what happened.  Unfortunately the cells didn’t grow so they couldn’t tell us what went wrong.  No physical abnormalities though. That left us with no answers so we’re doing specialized genetic testing/counseling this time!!!!

I'm from Ontario and it cost about $500 here. After a scare at 20 weeks with my daughter we'll be getting it with this pregnancy!
