For me they hurt. I wanted to crawl off the table when my doctor checked me.

Personally, I wouldn’t say they hurt. It’s more just like a pressure and uncomfortable feeling for me

I wouldn’t say they hurt, but they can be uncomfortable. I’d say Pap smears are much more painful.

I’ve had many checks due to preterm labor. It’s more uncomfortable than painful. Like “ok, please get your hand out of me now”. I can honestly say I’ve only had one experience where I was about to kick the dr in the face cause it hurt so bad and that’s cause she didn’t know what she was doing. I don’t mind letting interns practice on me so I allowed her but she was checking as if she was searching for gold. Worst pain ever.

They shouldn't hurt and if they do tell the doctor and they'll stop. They are just checking to see if your cervix is open and how much that shouldn't cause pain if it does they are being too rough.

I didn’t think it hurt until they stripped my membranes. I was over due so I didn’t care haha

Maybe it’s because I’m on baby number 3, or that fact that I’m in my 30s and have fucked A LOT, but cervical checks have never hurt. Shit I got an iud put in and taken out, and have had colposcopies done that we’re just minor cramping. 🤷♀️ every woman’s body is different but my guess is it shouldn’t hurt.

I found they hurt in early labor more than when I was in active labor. Felt like I was being fisted.

They always hurt me but they never i mean never can find my cervix until in hospital in active labor last pregnancy that Dr have her all and i was almost in tears and she said she could barely reach the tip and its completey closed it was real bad cramping for me that literally almost caused me to faint
