Anyone not doing a bassinet?
So we live in a small two bedroom apartment with my husband and I in one one room and our five year old in another. Because of this, the crib is going to be in our room on the wall closest to our bed. I figured since he would already be in our room (and the fact that money is tight) that we would skip buying a bassinet but now I’m reading that they’re better if you’re having a csection because of having to bend over the railing. I’m high risk so I’m for sure having a csection and now I’m wondering if I should cough up the 100-200 bucks to get a bassinet? Is that the only thing that makes a bassinet better than a crib or are there other benefits? My daughter slept in her bassinet for only a month but we were living with my husbands parents at the time and her crib was down the hall. I just don’t want to waste money that we need to save for diapers and other things if he’s just going to be put in his crib anyway. Any advice?
