Do you agree with Nick Godejohn's sentence?

So I've seen a lot of talk about Gypsy Rose Blanchard's sentence. There's articles, topics, posts, comments, videos, etc about it. What I haven't seen is people talking about Nick's sentence. 
Do you agree with it? Disagree? What sentence do you think would be appropriate?

He was a pawn for her, and he had documented mental illnesses if i remember correctly.

I do not agree with the death penalty, but I do agree with life in prison. He murdered the woman. It was not at all in self defense

He was a pawn. She should have gotten the harsher sentence. She knew he had mental problems and she still took advantage

Yes I agree with it. He willing committed a murder. Mental illness is not an excuse, it is not a crutch to use once you commit a heinous crime. What Deedee Blanchard did was appalling and Gypsy needed help but killing her wasn't the answer. If Gypsy would have done it herself the whole case would've been different.

Yes, he committed murder. The facility he is at specializes in those with mental illness. I used to work on the same campus the prison is located on.

I know people who fired a gun at their 8 1/2 months pregnant fiance, spent maybe 3 weeks in a mental institution & have been back on the streets for years. Nick should be in an institute for the criminally insane, in my opinion. As far as I know he was never violent in his life until Gypsy put the idea in his head. I dont think its safe to let him back out into the public, but I dont think he should be in a "normal" prison for lack of a better description.

Gypsy got off way too easy. I agree with Nicks sentence since he is the one that actually committed the crime but Gypsy should’ve gotten more time than 10 years. Nick was a pawn in the whole thing and Gypsy knew how to manipulate him the way her mother manipulated her. Monkey see Monkey do.

honestly i’m not sure. the entire show focused around the fact that she killed her mom so she could get away with her boyfriend, but i don’t know exactly what went down in real life. 
but, he felt that he was protecting gypsy, and regardless, munchausen by proxy IS child abuse and i think people tend not to understand exactly how serious it was. personally i understand exactly why gypsy would have wanted her mother dead, but there were definitely better ways to go about escaping her abuse.  
all in all, i’m very conflicted because the circumstances of dee dee’s murder are kind of murky and not cut and dry.

I think it’s important to note that he got the sentencing he did also because of the violence of the murder. She was stabbed several times and he had told Gypsy he wanted to rape her mom after he killed her too but Gypsy asked him not to. Gypsy wanted her mother dead but she didn’t tell him to do all that. He was already wanting to do these violent things, Gypsy just gave him the perfect opportunity
