scared of tampons

I’m 16 and I’m terrified to use tampons. I want to start but anytime I try or even think about trying to use them I feel light headed, dizzy, sometimes start crying, and need to sit down. Everyone I know uses them and since I play sports I really want to start but I don’t know how to overcome this, I’m not a Virgin so it’s not like I’m new to putting things up there so idk what’s up but doesn’t anyone have any advice?
