Do I have a right to be upset?

So yesterday was my first mother's day and I decided to buy something relatively pricey for both my baby and I. My man didn't get me anything. No card, flowers, or gift. Then he decided that my gift would be what I had already purchased and he would just pay me back. Do you think that I have a right to be upset? I mean its kind of like "hey I didn't get you anything so to make up for it I'll just give you money for something that you already bought"
