Is this tacky?

So I’m having my 3rd baby, also my 3rd boy, and I don’t plan on having a baby shower. However, my family is FULL of boys, so I never kept clothes or baby gear, I just passed it down to the next boy. All I have is a crib and a dresser. No clothes, no baby blankets, no other baby gear. I know I will get some hand me downs from people in my family, but I’m not counting on them. I don’t want a baby shower, but I thought about making a registry and sharing it with people who ask what I need if they want to get me a gift, but I won’t ask anyone for anything. I won’t post it to social media or anything. I plan on buying everything I need myself, but it’s just a lot. Is it tacky to make a registry just in case?

I've never really understood why it's considered tacky to make a registry or have a baby shower for not a first baby. 
Obviously you wouldn't be asking for stuff if you didn't need it. 
If people don't want to buy things or attend, they don't have to. 
I truthfully see no problem in it.

I'm having my 3rd girl (each 10 years apart). My mom offered to throw me a shower, but I won't put that financial strain on her. I did/am making a baby registry. I wanted a place to keep what I want organized. That way each time I go to buy something my list is ready and I can keep track of things. And hey, if someone wants to buy me something and ask me if I have a registry...there ya have it.

Not tacky my kids are 9&7.5yrs old and I have a 10month old boy girl boy and I kept all my baby clothes bcz my oldest son couldn’t wear any of his clothes due to being in the cardiac icu til he was 3yrs old and I also got hand me downs and I threw a shower and tons of people said they were coming and didn’t show and than babys dads family threw one and we got the last of things we needed we didn’t need any of the big stuff bcz I had kept it all and I’m having a girl now and a girl who got evicted out of my building stole an entire tote that had newborn to 18months clothes and shoes I was so devasted so I am just buying clothes and she will use my sons clothes too as we don’t go out very much anyways right now I have bought enough clothes and diapers and wipes and bottles to last 4months and will buy diapers as time goes on
