How did your labor start??

First time mom and I’m just curious as to how everyone’s labors started, what symptoms did you have leading up to?

Absolutely no symptoms. My water broke out of nowhere.

My Braxton Hicks became very painful and I had them every night 5 minutes apart for 4 days, then for 2 full days and nights they were so bad I couldn’t sleep or do anything but I was still at 3cm, then the next day my water broke but I was already in the hospital because of the contractions. So that wasn’t a great week

Just lots of cramping.

None. My water broke when I got up to pee at 2:30 am. Light contractions started a few hours later. They got more intense around noon. I labored in the tub at home until 4:30ish. Got to the hospital at 4:45 and was dilated to 5.5. Made it through transition and started pushing at about 8:00. Baby was out at 8:58 pm. (Her big ol’ head got stuck, but with a much unwanted episiotomy she was out.) It was 39 weeks exactly and I totally did not expect to go into labor that day.

Mild back pressure started around 11:30am, followed by increasing pressure, vomiting, diarrhea, bloody show, and then he arrived just before 2:30pm.

No symptoms beforehand..contractions just started. With my first, I had irregular contractions for about 7 or 8 hours before they finally came on every 5 mins. With my youngest, contractions pretty much started off every 5 mins right away as soon as I woke up..no messing around lol

I had some lower back and abdominal pain but it wasn't painful and so far apart I didn't think much of it. Then I kept feeling like I had to go #2 but nothing would happen and I'm like "ok this is super weird". Over the next 2 days all of that amplified and I figured it was labour.
