Has anyone got their apartment sprayed cause of bug problems and it ends up working?

Question

I’m a pretty clean person but unfortunately I live in a apartment complex with dirty neighbors 😒
So out of NO WHERE I got roaches, tomorrow is when their gonna spray my apartment but I wanted to know from experience with everyone else
Did it actually work and get rid of them? 
I have kids and I can’t live in an environment like that & I won’t so I’m hoping that this works

I had terminex when i lived in a duplex. The guy said if we could, get our neighbors on the same scheduke sonce the roaches would just go back n forth otherwise. I kept some home spray too snd would periodically do the doors, windows and vents in between.

We have a pest guy come once a month for maintenance, but unfortunately, roaches can get inside for many reasons (including leaky pipes you’d never know about). 
I keep a household spray and powder you can get at almost any home store (Lowe’s, etc) 
Peppermint oil is a fantastic repellent if you’re looking for something natural to put in/around the kids’ rooms

my apartments got fumigated a while back, i didnt have roaches in my apartment but my neighbors did smh from what i know it worked! 
we also have these smalls moths ??? it didnt kill those bastards 🙄
