Abortion - any helpful info?

Question

I have a surgical abortion booked for Saturday morning. I'm confident it's the right decision but wondering if anybody would like to share with me anything I should know that I might not? Bring pads? Baggy pants? Pain relief? How do you feel after anesthetic? 
Any advice or info is appreciated.

I had mine under local anaesthetic so didn’t really feel too drowsy after, deffo bring your own pads, the ones they give you are huge and didn’t have a sticky bit so I felt like it was moving all the time😂 and definitely wear something comfy, I had horrendous cramps after and felt really sick after the procedure but they gave me some codeine and anti sickness tablets and I was fine after that. Hope it all goes well for you xx

My experience at my clinic was simple. I wore just some boy shorts and leggings. You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in I would say nothing too tight around the waist. They will just ask a few simple questions and perform an ultrasound which you do not have to see. They get your ready for your IV and take you to the room. As soon as sedation hits you'll be relaxed and may even fall asleep. I was knocked out pretty good and only remember some super slight cramping and noise. The anesthesia wore off pretty fast for me. Just felt a little groggy. I was prescribed pain meds of which I haven't really needed. Bleeding has been like a light period. I was definitely emotional. Goodluck and be strong.
