Gum infection

Looking some advice for weeks now my gums have been bleeding so bad but on Monday my left side of my mouth got super bad pain and I was up all night went to dentist yesterday she said it was a gum infection and gave me antibiotics but from then the pain has got 10x worse I can’t eat drink even to swallow it’s extremely sore I can’t talk and my cheek it so swollen no amount of paracetamol has helped and literally In agony has anyone had this before? Worried because dentist told me antibiotics should have helped yesterday but didn’t 😩😩😩
