Membrane Sweep? Did it work for you?

If you have had a membrane sweep for this pregnancy or previous what have your experiences been, how progressed were you prior, would you do it again?

They absolutely work if you are ready to give birth. A lot of women are being sweeped before 40 weeks. I was sweeped with both of my baby's and it worked, I was 40+4 & 40+5 when I gave birth.

I was 3.5cms dilated & 100% effaced. It hurt like hell but it worked, I only made it out to my car in the parking lot before my contractions started and when they started I went straight into active labour, contractions lasting 60-90seconds less than 2 mins apart. Had my sweep around 9pm and he was born at 117am. I would definitely do it again.

I had a sweep just past 41 weeks and contractions started about 12 hours later. I wouldn’t agree to one any sooner though. They tend to work better when your body is ready.

My friend's daughter had it done and did to start to go into labor, but she had a very slowly progressing and difficult labor. She was in labor for over 28 hours. She was also doing a lot of at home stuff to try to induce early. I am not sure if the results would have been any different if she has waited, but I sort of suspect that her body just wasn't totally ready and was rushed into it. 
I wouldn't have it or any other attempts at early induction unless the doctor deems it medically necessary for the health and safety of the baby.

41 Weeks Pregnant and just had my sweep a few days ago, felt really awful the day after and now back to normal and still no baby aha, had a little bit of cramping and spotting afterwards but that was all, being induced in 3 days🤞🏼

Second pregnancy- 3cm dilated, 38 weeks

I'm not sure if it's what sent me into labor but I had one done at 41 weeks. I was only a centimeter or two dialated but I went into labor two days later.
