Hypothetical- what do you do if baby gets stung by a bee?

Just thinking about if this happened i want to know what to do!

I would just treat it as I would a bee sting on anyone, unless of course there was a huge reaction x

If I see any type of reaction, but not severe then I would bring them into the doctors office if it’s severe then call 911. I had my son tested for allergies after he had a mild reaction to pecans. When it happened I just kept an eye on him for the rest of the day to make sure he didn’t have difficulty swallowing or breathing. I then just scheduled a doctors appt for the allergy test referral.

I know it sounds weird but my Indian grandma did this with my dad and he did ut with us when it came to stings and bites. Cut an onion in half and put a bunch of salt in it then hold it in the bite for 15 mins. Like nothing ever happened and for LO under a year you use a paper towel between the skin and onion

See how baby reacts. If there is anything more than a little swelling I would call your pediatrician or take them to urgent care. If it is severe (extreme swelling, trouble breathing, etc. THEN I would take him/her to ER)

Anaphylaxis typically happens after your SECOND exposure to an allergen. After the first exposure your child makes antibodies to an allergen. And on the second exposure the response is exaggerated causing anaphylaxis. You may only see a mild reaction after the first exposure.
