IVF in the UK timelines?

I’m due to start my 
IVF
 at the start of my next cycle (probably next week) and I know it takes roughly a month and a half until the transfer the fertilised embryo but does anyone know the breakdown of when I’ll start my first lot of injections, what to expect etc? My husband is away after next week and it’s just dawned on my I might have to go to my first appointment to find out about my injections alone x

Hi Stef. I'm in the UK too. I started buserelin injections 17th April and then started menopur 11th May. I have my last menopur today (22nd May) and trigger tonight. I had base scans 9th May to check my uterus lining then first follicle scan 20th May and 2nd scan this morning. I have my egg retriavel 24th May and if all goes to plan I have the fertilised embryo put back 29th May and bloods for pregnancy test 7th June. I hope this helps

I have been down regulating with a prostap on day 21 of my cycle now for two weeks on Thursday I go back to get a baseline blood test to check if my ovaries have responded . Then il hopefully start my injections on Saturday for 10-12 days just depends how your folicles grow and if you are at risk of ohss. I will then go every other day to have scans and measure each follicles progress until they are as big as 17-19mm. Then the last day of stims I will take a trigger injection, there is a day in between then the following morning I will have a retrieval . 5 days later I will have an embryo transferred hopefully fresh and then freeze any remaining. Finally wait about 9 days to beta I think to check if I’m pregnant or not . I hope this helps good luck I can’t wait ❤️
