When looking for a new job...

Of course when looking for a new job you want more money than you are currently making. I work a lot of overtime and some holidays so i don’t make anywhere close to my base salary. When looking for a new job should I go off of my current base salary or what I make total in a year (base+bonuses+overtime+holiday pay). Thanks in advanced. Hopefully this makes sense lol

Total amount in the year including benefits. A lot of people don’t actually look closely at what the benefits are and end up screwed. Example: your current job includes health insurance for $150/month that is great and covers everything you need. New job includes health insurance through the same insurance company for the same price but it is a different plan and doesn’t cover much so you end up paying out of pocket for hundreds or thousands more every year. Another example is both companies having major holidays off but only one pays for them. Don’t just look at numbers, look at what is included in those numbers.
