Labor or false labor?!

Question

Okay ladies I need some advice. Iv been contracting (at least I think they’re real contractions) every 6-7 minutes for about 40 seconds each. My whole stomach gets rock hard and it’s accompanied by strong period like cramps. Is this the real deal or Braxton Hicks? I can talk through them which is why I’m unsure but they’ve been consistent for an hour. I don’t know what I should do, my hubby has to leave for work in 15 minutes which is an hour and a half away and I don’t want him to leave if this is real!

My Drs go by the 5-1-1 rule, contractions are 5 min apart, 1 min long and continue for one hour. Thats what they consider ture labor.

Could be but I've been getting these for days and still nothing.  You never know though, so definitely call L&D and let them know to see if they want you to come in.

I know this was posted a while ago, but I was in the same boat this morning for about 2 hours. It all died down after I bathed, ate, chugged water, and had a poop lol My husband stayed home for the morning just in case because he also works 30 minutes away. 
How did this all work out for you?

If I were you I’d probably go ahead and go get checked out so he’s not at work just Incase anything happens. Also, it sounds like the start to me!

If they're consistently timed it would not hurt to get checked out!

Those sound like real contractions. Try resting, chugging a ton of water and continue timing to see if they go away in a hour. If the pattern stays the same, pain gets worse or if they don’t go away, then I would go call or go in. Good luck!
