how bad is the pain from a medical abortion?

I get my abortion via meds this week. I’m taking off the afternoon to go to the appointment but have work the following day. The lady told me that I should be fine working the following day, but both their site and other nurses said it’s the second set of pills that you take 24 hours after which cause most of the pain/cramping. just curious on how bad it is?

I didn’t have any complications with mine. It was almost like having a really crampy period. I have always had terrible periods, so my tolerance for pain is higher. But for someone else, I’d say the pain level is like a 5-7. 
I took the pain pills and it was manageable. I didn’t work the next day though. I had about 3-4 days off. But I just didn’t want to go and still be bleeding, especially not being able to wear a tampon. It was just uncomfortable.

My friend did the pills, and she said it was the biggest regret she’s ever had and she wished she did the D&C. (She’s had two abortions so she did both) My boyfriends cousin also said the same thing when she miscarried. Her body hadn’t recognized it yet that she had lost the baby, so she tried the pills but it was so bad she just went and had the D&C.
