Embryos adoption/low sperm count

So me and my husband just had a fail ivf cycle due to low sperm count. My dr considered sperm donor. This option never came up to us and it’s something that we might not want to do. That fact that the baby won’t be genetically his and I saw his heart broke with I told him it made me cry. I was thinking of asking my doctor if I can do an embryo adoption transfer. That way it won’t be as selfish of me. What should I do? Has anyone ever experienced this? Please no negativity
