He wants to Change his last name.

My boyfriend wants to change his last name because his mom got divorced some years ago. Even though he doesn’t see his last name as “siding with one parent”, he told me he might get guilt tripped by his mom to change it. I usually wouldn’t have a problem, but the last name he wants to change is the same one as this guy who tried to rape me. And I cant just not think of that guy whenever I hear his name. I know i’m marrying this man but is it too crazy to ask him not to change his last name?? Like at the same time, his father was a terrible man. So idk if i should chill out.
