I know this is a stupid question but... on on earth do you do your weekly shop with a newborn?

I know this sounds completely stupid but my husband works away so I’ll be own my own with our newborn.

Where do you put your newborn when out grocery shopping? Can I just put the car seat in the trolley? That doesn’t sound like it’d be very secure though 🤷🏼‍♀️ obviously some trolleys do have those little seats for when baby can sit up, but what about when they can’t? I’m clueless! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don’t want to use one of those baby carrier/sling things where you strap them to your chest.
