Screen Time - Do you let your little March babe watch screen time ever?

We do LOTS of activities too!  But in the morning while mamma tidies/gets dressed/eat little one indulges in some tv time... Educational of course 🤣

In the evenings her dad has been watching the playoffs and will sometimes hold her so she can see the TV but I think she prefers watching our ceiling fans!

I have a 2.5 year old who watches TV, so she gets glimpses of the TV but if I see her staring at it I move her. Every once in a while it's ok, but We didnt let my son watch TV on a regular basis until after he turned two and want to do the same with my daughter.

I tried baby Einstein last night hoping it would distract him from wanting to be on me every waking hour of the day and he was very interested. I think tv is fine occasionally because sometimes a mom needs that half hour to recoup!

Screen time of any kind is bad for baby’s eyes this young, as told to me by a pediatric occupational therapist. You know how when you take a picture of something on your computer screen and it looks all distorted with squiggly lines? That’s what your baby can see right now and it can affect the development of their eyesight if you sit them in front of a screen. TV’s are better than computers, she said, but none is ideal.

I don’t put her in front of the tv or turn on baby shows but I’m a sham so I have the tv on most of the day and I know she looks at it from the couch and the swing. They just like the bright colors and he noise

Screen time at this age isn’t a big deal, they aren’t actually watching it. It’s just flashing lights and noise. By the time my baby is 6-8 months I won’t have him in front of the tv anymore.

I didnt do it with my daughter (2,5 years) and I dont plan on doing it with my son. There are thousands of other ways to entertain the baby and I rather not clean the house then put him in front of the TV :) but every parent has his own way. I can see now that my daughter doesnt need TV at all and she can entertain herself for hours.

I was advised screens were bad for kids and should be avoided at least til they're one. But if the TV is on and she sees it she doesn't wanna look away. I don't deliberately put her in front of it but if she watched for a couple minutes while I eat I'll allow it.
