My first child was induced at 39 weeks by choice. I went in at 6am and didn’t have her till almost 4pm that day. 😫 girl it was ROUGH. lol. Around noon I was only at a 4cm. They gVe me the epidural. About 2pm they broke my water. And I started pushing by 3:30. She was small 6lbs9oz. BUT her head wasn’t! She had a HUGE head and because of it I had fourth degree tearing.

My second child I was starting to have contractions everyday starting at the end of 35 weeks. The thing is I wasn’t dilating or effacing at all. This went on till half way through 36 weeks. It got to the point the contractions were so painful. I went to L&D every night. They kept sending me home. They even have me a shot of morphine in my butt and that made me violently sick. My mom had enough and decided to give me castor oil. The hospital said they can’t induce and for me to try to self induce.

She gave me that on 36w6d around 2pm. ThT night around 8-9pm contractions were getting worse. I called the dr and she told me not to come in and it was probably just the same thing that’s been happening. I decided to go in and went into L&D anyway. When I got there I was already a 4cm. By the time I got checked in I was 7cm and couldn’t get an epidural. By 2am I was pushing. He got stuck for 45 minutes. Finally he came out.

Both of my births were traumatizing lol so hopefully this baby won’t be so bad! 🤞🏻😁

Sounds so terrifying and awful!! With my first born i woke up from a nap and thought i had peed myself. So i sat around with my husband. Watched a movie. Every-time i stood up though i had a little gush. I told him i should probably call and see what the nurses have to say. They suggested I go in and get checked. I was 34 5d at the time. We stopped and had dinner on the way to the hospital 🤣🤣🤣 When they checked me, my water was confirmed to have broken. Labor did not start so I was put on medication to jump start labor. I slept through most of my labor after the doc urged me to get an epidural I really didn’t think i needed. She came out happy and healthy at 34w 5d weighing 6lb 9oz and only a 4 day nicu stay ❤️❤️❤️

With my daughter, my water broke at 39 weeks at about 11:30am. We got to the hospital around 1, and that's when the contractions started. After about 6 hours I was put on a low dose of pitocin because i was stuck at 6cm 😫 at 9pm I asked for pain meds and did that for 2 hours. Come 11pm I asked for the epidural. He came in around 11:45 and took FOREVER because my contractions were so close and so painful. About 12:45am is when it finally kicked in. Around 2am I started pushing and my daughter was born at 3:52am June 2nd, 2018! I'm currently 36 weeks right now and cant wait to see how this labor goes ❤

I was due July 17th. The morning of the 14th I got in the shower to get ready for work. Well, my water broke. I thought I was peeing. It was a slow trickle that I couldn’t stop. It finally stopped and I was able to get out. My husband was sleeping, so I called my doctors office, to let them know. The on call nurse schedule an appointment for me to come in at 10am. It was 7am when I called. 🤦🏼‍♀️ OK, then I should be good, they weren’t worried, so I’m not worried. I wasn’t in pain or anything. Well I would leak on and off the whole time. I woke my hubby up and we got ready to go into the office. I got there and told the lady at the desk that I was there to check to see if my water broke. She told me to take a seat and they would call me back. Ok...I’ll wait. I sat there feeling this steady stream of water that I couldn’t stop. I had the heavy duty overnight pads on, but it wasn’t enough. I told my husband to please tell them that they need to see me. He went up and told them after 15 minutes waiting, and they said, “OMG, bring her back. We didn’t know her water broke!”. Seriously!!! I go back and get undressed. They have the puppy pads (that’s what they remind me of) down and it is steady running all over the floor. I’m waiting on the doctor to come in. My husband is going nuts, running around looking for more pads and gloves. Yes, gloves!! 😂🤣😂🤣. He opens the door and calls for a doctor saying that I’m leaking everywhere. The doctor finally comes in, checks and says, “Yep, that’s your water! You need to head to the hospital.” Really?! I get to the hospital about 11:30. They induce me because I wasn’t feeling my contractions. They finally kicked in about 5 or 6 that night. Went to get the epidural, and as soon as he goes to insert the needle, he is called into the ER for an emergency. He tells me to sit there and wait on him. Ok...I can do this. 😩 He finally comes back in and finishes. Long story short, it only worked on one side at a time. The nurse kept having to turn me from side to side. At 6am the next morning, my doctor comes in and says we are going to start pushing. I pushed for 3 hours! After a failed vacuum extract, the doctor had to pull him out with forceps. I ended up having a 4th degree tear, but a beautiful and healthy baby boy, who was born at 9.07am July 15th. I would do it all over again!!

My 1st was only in labor for 8hrs. Got to the hospital they checked me and I was at 5cm. Got an epidural and then they broke my water later on. They broke my water and didn’t know that my sons arm was like a Superman’s position. He came out that way causing me to have 2nd degree tearing. Took over a week before I could sit down like normal.

My 2nd was a 12hr labor and consisted of me throwing up with every contraction. Spent about 2hrs in the triage with them trying to tell me I wasn’t in labor even though I was. By the time I got to a room they tried to give me an epidural but I was already 8cm and it didn’t work. I felt everything and it was rough. Pushing lasted about 5mins. She was out.

My 3rd I had my membranes stripped at 38 weeks. I left from the doctors office and went to walk and do squats. A couple hours later the contractions were coming on and staying consistent. Went to the hospital and they gave me pitocin to get things moving along. Labor was 12hrs all together. Everything went smooth and I rested a lot. Pushed about 5mins and she was out.

My 4th was my fast labor. I had my membranes stripped. Went home and rested. I had heard that having sex helped with having membranes stripped so we did. I started having contractions around 11:15 that night. I just put it off and tried to sleep and woke up around 1 and they were coming on strong. I got up and got in the shower and tried sitting on my yoga ball and they were hitting hard. I finally woke my husband up around 3 and told him we needed to go to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital at 3:30 am and I had her 45 mins later with only a shot of pain medicine. My recovery afterwards was amazing.

We are shooting for a natural birth with this baby. We are a few weeks away from being here. It’s amazing how every baby is different.
