Postpartum sex?

Do i have to wait until 6 weeks? I'm 3 weeks postpartum and I guess I'm just in the mood. I had a csection if that makes any of a difference.

You have a giant open wound inside of you. Not only are you super susceptible to infections because of this but you are crazy fertile as well. It’s best to wait to be seen by your doctor.

Oh yes. Follow the discharge instructions. You are still healing and you don't want to risk infection. You can do some fun things like clit stimulation and kissing but no penetration

It doesn’t make a difference due to the fact that regardless of how you give birth, the placenta will leave an open wound. That needs to heal properly and by having sex you’re introducing nasty bacteria that can give you bad infections. Unless you’ve been cleared by your doctor, don’t have sex too early. Asides from nasty infections, you also run the risk of hemorrhaging. 
Some people did have sex before getting cleared by a doctor and they were okay BUT that does not mean the same for you. The fact that others were okay does not disprove the medical proof that it’s not safe to have sex too soon. I would wait because in my opinion, sex isn’t worth going to the hospital over an infection or hemorrhaging.

You should not have sex until you’re cleared by your doctors. However, you can usually do other stuff. You’ll need to be careful with your incision, but typically clitoral stimulation is fine.

You can do everything but sex! I had a hard time waiting too! I waited until 5 weeks and during my 6 week appt they said 5 is 99% of the time okay and they asked if I had returned to intercourse activity lol! They wait till 6 weeks for the apt so I’d say 5 and you’re good but go very slow lol I had a hard time fitting my boyfriend in there the first few times (still was amazing) but we worked our way back up to normal sex and it was INCREDEEIBLEEEE LOL

Your not supposed to but I did at 2 weeks pp. We did use condoms because you are very fertile after having a baby. You could always do oral sex or use toys.

We had sex around 3 weeks pp, also had a C-section. I was feeling great, so was up for it. No pain or anything after, no infection, my OB wasn’t even surprised. She asked at my 6 week check up if we had sex yet and told her yes. She just asked if my period had returned. It did since my bleeding stopped around 4 weeks and then came back 2 weeks later and then it was regular again. If it hurts stop having sex, watch for a foul smell after having sex (could mean infection), and wear a condom to be on the same side (we didn’t) but that’s my advice to be extra careful.
