Owlet baby monitor ?

Is the owlet baby monitor worth it? Like does it work ? I didn’t have it with my first but for some reason I’m more anxious with this one so I think I want to get it. What are your thoughts ? Pros and cons ?

It works. When they wiggle it wont show the numbers. It's pretty cool. In the middle of the night when I was worried if she was breathing or not instead of waking her up I'd just have the app open and it was a relief. The alarm goes off if they dsat or their heart rate drops. My baby was born at 27 weeks at 1 lb 14 oz and her feet are still too tiny for the smallest newborn sock though.

I absolutely love mine! My son has been in his own room since day 1 and I would have never been able to sleep without it! He’s almost 8 months and I still use because he will only sleep if he has his two favourite blankets and I’m still nervous about him smothering himself! I plan to use it until he’s 1 year and then we’ll use it on our next also, so for us it was definitely worth it!

I love mine! My daughter was born premature and had a horrible habit of not breathing while she slept!!! While in the NICU we would be sitting there watching her sleep and literally watch her heart rate drop from 140bpm down to 50 and dropping. Which is when the monitors would siren and nurses would come and stimulate her to remind her to breath. So anyways... now that she’s home we want that extra security to let us know how her HR is doing. We only put it on at night so we can sleep better. We got the camera too which shows the temp in the room. Apparently if it’s too warm it can cause SIDS. So we love the camera. Plus I can watch her while I use the restroom in the mornings. The app shows her heart rate and oxygen levels. There is a set number that will make the owlet go off. So if the HR drops below 60bpm then the owlet will make a noise, same for oxygen levels. It also shows a graph in the history. So you can check back in the history to see how your baby was doing for the night. And when the baby moves it’ll stop reading and read “xxxxx wiggling” (xxx being baby’s name) long story short we love our owlet and it helps us get more sleep at night and added security.
