Has anyone used metformin to get pregnant??

I’m on metformin and I’ve heard that you can easily get pregnant on it? My doctor told me to be extra careful. That was months ago, We want a baby now and just wondering if this will help us.  TIA

It's not a case of getting pregnant easily in it, it depends if you're taking it for diabetes or pcos. If it's for pcos, it's used to help with insulin resistance. By correcting your insulin levels it can then have a knock on effect in correcting other hormone levels. Its unfortunately not a magic cure, I've been on it for 2 years now and it's made hardly any difference. Its definetely something you should take if you do have insulin resistance, it's just not a good idea to hang all of your Hope's on it :/
