Can dogs sense pregnancy? 🐶

I've found out at the beginning of the week that I'm pregnant very early still just over 5 weeks.
Loki my fur baby has always loved a cuddle but for the past 2 weeks has been like this & trying to spoon me 😂 
Can dogs sense pregnancy? Because I get the feeling he knew before I did! 😄❤

We have a Loki too! He knew I was pregnant before I did. He kept insisting on licking and cuddling my belly and sniffinh my belly button. I got tired of him sticking his head under my shirt one day and scolded him and my husband said "he's hoping for a sibling" and then it clicked. I was late😂 Found out that day about my daughter so when he started again a few months ago I took a test and sure enough I have a son due in September.

Yep! They definitely know.  I couldn’t keep this guy off my belly with my first pregnancy and this one either! He won’t leave my daughter’s room unless she does. He will also come out of the room and cry at me if he thinks she is doing stuff she shouldn’t lol. My husband always jokes that he thinks he is the father 😂 lol

Most definitely! My moms Chihuahua never bothered to get off her ass & say hello to, but with my pregnancy last year (lost him @12weeks unfortunately😢) & with my current pregnancy (20.2weeks) Lilly Always jumps up to come say hello to me & sniff my belly! It must be a pheromone we emit or maybe even she hears the babys heartbeat....idk. It's pretty cool though😊

Yes. I work at a vet clinic. I can't even begin to count all the dogs that just suddenly acted different around me. We have a lot of older patients so we see them a lot. 
Cats can tell too. My husbands cat cuddles him all the time. When I was pregnant, I couldn't keep her off me, which is not normal.

Absolutely! My big fur pup was all over me and I had no idea why. He sensed a change in me and wanted to make sure I was ok. It’s been 3 years and he’s still like this lol enjoy all the cuddles

They sure can...our scent changes and they are sensitive to that. It’s really cute- my fuzzy has become my little shadow over the past 6 months, and she certainly began doing it about a week before I found out 😍. She now sleeps right across or up against my belly.

Also- I love your pooch. My family use to raise and breed shar pei’s when I was growing up. They are such wonderful dogs.

My clients dog keeps pushing his nose up against my belly sometimes when he’s on my but I’m not pregnant and I’ve had my periods monthly and he’s usually smelling my perfume I’m also like are you trying to tell me something 🤣 but I’m not pregnant
