Normal vs Being Concerned?

I know pregnancy can do a lot to our bodies. I feel like anytime I mention a symptom to my doc they say it is “normal”. But with headaches and swelling how do you know what is normal and when to be concerned? My hospital doesn’t check urine and blood regularly. Tomorrow will be the first time I’ve had any lab work done since my first appointment.

Because pregnancy is just uncomfortable and painful at times. Pre eclampsia doesnt typically set in, if it does, until later in the pregnancy. Theyll probably test urine for protein then but I mean I'm sure all women complain to their doctors at most visits. Headaches are completely normal. And swelling is too. If you have sudden drastic swelling that will not go down with elevation of feet, relaxing etc then let your doctor know the severity

My doc checks urine every appointment throughout the pregnancy. I’ve also had frequent blood tests (but that could be just me because I have some pre-existing conditions to monitor). If you’re worried, seek a second opinion. Better to be safe.

I have only had my blood tested twice my pregnancy I am 30 weeks! Once at the beginning and once for my glucose test!!! If you have questions ask if you feel something is off ask!!! Your doctor should be fine with answering questions aswell as since you are a ftm it's normal to not know what's normal or what to be worries about!! With my first I was worried about a lot of things that I'm not with my second!

That's pretty odd I'd ask them to do those tests. Or get another Dr.
