Getting induced/terrified for membrane sweep
Soo.. this may be a dumb question but I didn’t even think to ask my ob. They told me I’m getting induced at 39 weeks, and with my first I wasn’t induced so I really don’t know what to expect. When you get induced that means they either break you water, sweep your membranes, give you the meds to start contractions, or they have a gel right? Also, can you decide which one they can do or do they just automatically choose? I know this sounds like a dumb/silly question but I’m honestly terrified to have the membrane sweep. So I guess my other question is do they usually want to do the sweep first or does it just depend? And also, for those who have been induced, had the membrane sweep or any other method.. how awful is it? 😅
